Two Dogs looking for a home

My Niece is moving back to Wisconsin, where our clan originates from, and has two big strong dogs she is trying to find a home for. One is a female Husky named Lola. She has one brown eye and one blue eye which gives her an interesting look. The other is a black male Labrador and Pit Bull mix named Drew. Lola feels to be about 50 lbs. and Drew is about 60 lbs. They are both about 5 years old and were rescued as puppies.

My Niece recently had a baby and is having difficulty spending time with them. They are very good dogs but need lots of exercise and tummy rubs. If anyone is interested feel free to post to this blog and I can arrange a meeting.

Summer Just Around the Corner

Just a reminder that as it warms up you will need to keep your dog hydrated at the dog park. Since you can’t let one dog drink out of a bowl but not another I would recommend the “cooler” technique. I have a six-pack cooler I bought from Walmart for a few bucks and I fill it about 3/4 full. When I get to the park I place it on the ground and let all the dogs have at it. Since most parks in Phoenix have water you shouldn’t have to worry about running out. My dog is afraid of spigots, it reminds her of bath time, so I always make sure she has her cooler to drink from.

Looking for a new Dog Park

I am moving from the Sun City area now that my Dad has passed away and I no longer have to watch after him. I will be living on the southwest corner of Tempe and the only two parks worth hanging at are Chaparral in Scottsdale or Cosmo out in Gilbert. I hope I find some friends there as good as my buddies at Parkridge.

Good Apartments that allow Dogs in Phoenix, Part 1

I am going to begin a search for Apartment Complex’s that allow “good” dogs only. So far all I’ve seen are somewhat scary places. If anyone can help me out let me know. I need to be on the south side near Tempe where I’m going to school.
